Pheasants, Castles and Beginnings

November 17, 2017

Today is a super exciting day for myself and my little business.... I just collected the keys to my very own business premises. For the last 6 months I have been working from home, cafe's and various other places and prior to this, before moving to lovely Devon, I had a great little garden studio curtesy of a fabulous family friend, so this feels like a big and exciting step to be taking out a grown up office all of my own!

I am unbelievably lucky to have found myself somewhere nestled in the beautiful North Devon Country side, my new studio is tucked under the clock tower in the estate of Castle Hill, very apt on the name front!! As of Monday next week my morning commute will be through the crisp winter countryside, dodging pheasants along the way and arriving to the beautiful views of the estate and its surroundings. I will try my very best not to inundate you all with pictures every 5 minutes of the lovely views, this will be a hard task I think as there really is inspiration all over the place.

This move also sparked me to get a move on and get my blog started, so from now on I will be making little blog updates to fill you all in on the goings on of a North Devon freelancer, we can take the adventure together. Hopefully there won't be too many near misses with the pheasants, just lots of floral painting, pretty wedding invitations and other general arty things.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
